Relax and Repair
Stress reduction is vital for the maintenance of good health. Reflexology and Reiki place the body in a state of rest and repair that reduces the harmful effects of stress and promotes healing. Both therapies work to bring balance or homeostasis to all the systems of the body. Most people report feeling a profound sense of peace and relaxation. Reflexology and Reiki safely complement medical treatments and can provide relief from many symptoms including pain and anxiety.
Foot Reflexology (according to the World Health Organization) is a safe, natural and effective therapy. Each part of the body is linked to a reflex point or area on the feet through neural pathways. All the reflexes are worked during a session to support overall health and to promote relaxation and repair. Reflexology benefits the feet as well by breaking up tension, flushing out toxins and improving circulation.
Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese word meaning “universal life force energy”. Reiki therapy directs this energy to you with a light touch or with the practitioner’s hands held at a short distance off your body. Reiki goes to where it is needed to clear energy blockages, restore energy balance and support healing. A Reiki session is a very personal experience that benefits the mind, body and spirit.
